I had an offer on an item retracted. Can I find out the reason why it was retracted? Thanks

no, you can't see why it was retracted,

I don't see why it matters why it was retracted

If you had accepted then it would have sold, once retracted there is nothing further you can do.

In theory the reasons for retractions are the same as for retracting bids, but ebay no longer provides a report facility for Invalid Retractions.
