We have heard complaints that some "Post Offices" decline to take items with labels as [presumably] they get very little for doing so. This is totally contrary to Royal Mail instructions and if you find it happening you can report [by letter] to Royal Mail Customer Service in Plymouth

Evidently they are paid nothing for taking a parcel which is prepaid but are still expected to check weight etc and scan it.
I do trust my local post Office so believe this. I am lucky but can use this Office.
