Question Re: part order received in Selling on eBay DND

You can open a not as described case after a not received case is closed on ebay.

It should be possible to do this yourself through resolution centre,if not by contacting customer service.

part order received

We ordered a multi gym and a stair ladder at the same time, and they were sent with the same courier. There should have been three parcels, but only 2 arrived but with completely different tracking numbers. The main frame of the multu gym arrived marked one of two, but the plate weights that had the same tracking number didn't. I've got both labels from the boxes, but unfortunately I opened an Item Not Received rather than one that doesn't match the description. The seller has since said that the third box would be delivered which it wasn't, and has now said that the courier told him that two boxes were delivered, and has since stopped communication, despite me having two separate tracking numbers as proof of delivery. What should I do now that I'm waiting for eBay to get involved?

Thanks in advance.

Ebay will imply close the case if sellercan give Tracking that shows as delivered. As you say you only get one case and you opened the wrong one.

Once the ebay case is closed then you can open a Not As Described case with Paypal, but unless you use the OFFER on Paypal topay return postage, you will have to pay to return what you received to get a full refund. DO NOT close the case on any promises and only close if completely satisfied and have received what you paid for.

Thanks. So despite having two different tracking numbers and receipts, they'll simply close the case through my mistake. Will there be any way to appeal eBay's decision, or is that the final decision? we're more than willing to pay for postage to get the thing sent back as a multi gym with mno weights is uselsess, despite us being happy with what we received. Thanks for your help.

if the case closes because the seller will clearly be able to prove the delivery, you should be able to appeal it, but in all honesty, i think you`d be better off simply allowing it to close or close it yourself now, then re-open one in paypal for not as described, but as pointed out, you`ll need to cover return cost yourself and claim it back once returned. You do have to provide a few details to claim this, so check it out so you can get what you need.
I`m sure you`ll know, but be aware you`ll need to return everything as well.

They don't need to go to PayPal yet. You CAN open a not as described after closing an INR. Please stop giving out incorrect advice on this.
