Question Re: Managed payments in Selling on eBay DND

Yes, you have to accept Managed Payments. If you don't, you will no longer be able to list.

The name on your Ebay account (not your Ebay ID if that's what you're thinking) has to exactly match that on your bank account. I'm a business seller on another account, and have just had to make this change myself as the two were not identical. It's becoming standard practice everywhere now.

Your full address should already be on all your listings - it's a legal requirement for business sellers. I work from home too, though, so I appreciate the concern.

If you want to discuss this further, use the Business Seller board in the Discussion forums - lots of MP threads already open over there for you to add your concerns. This is the Answer Centre, for people to ask quick questions they need urgent answers to, so not really suitable for discussions.

@vdubkeys

I'm worried about managed payments. Firstly they want my address - I work from home and don't want the world knowing when I'm on holiday. Secondly how many people have a bank account which has the same name as their ebay name? I don't and I don't want to change the name on my account either. What's everyone else doing? Do we have to accept managed payments?

I’m. Or happy with this new system, I’ve used PayPal for close on 20 years and it’s worked, not all changes are good, this ones a bad one

The new Managed payment method is a massive step backwards. I Do not believe the sold item should be posted until I have full payment in my own bank or PayPal account. Total farcical I will not be using eBay anymore unless they can give me instant access to my money, having to pay the charges is bad enough.
