PayPal refund transaction

PayPal reversed a desision in my favour and said that they would reimburse the money that had taken.

They said that the reimbursement was put in my account 16/04/20

I've looked at my transaction summary and there is nothing anywhere from PayPal

My question is do reimbursements from PayPal show on the transaction summary or does the money just go back into the account with no record of it happening?

If the payment was made from funds in your Paypal account, then it should go back there and you would see it. If it was paid via a debit or credit card, the refund will go back to source and you will need to check with your bank or credit card company.

just to add, paypal refunds are pretty instant, but debit cards take upto 7 days and credit cards upto a month.

It was PayPal funds used but there is nothing in the summary list that shows it was reimbursed, there's payments out to people I've shopped with, payments in from people I've sold to, even a payment to eBay for my monthly fees but nothing marked PayPal!
I just needed to check that it would appear on the summary as a reimbursement transaction and not just get added to the balance without it being shown on the summary
Come to think about it I didn't get one of those auto generated 'you've been paid' emails either, would that have happened considering it was a PayPal reimbursement?
