Sticker Packets

Are these worth investing in? I have a fair amount ranging from Football 78 to USA 94 and was wondering if you think these will yield better money in the future than say albums or loose sets? Whats your thoughts?

I am going to try and get my hands on at least 1 packet of each of the panini world cup and euro sets.

A mexico 86 pack sells for £40 so they are a much better investment even than loose stickers in the long run

Aye that Darren that would be a good set to have but an expensive one lol Ive kinda toyed with the idea but my money only goes so far ha. BTW did you see a couple of months ago a guy was selling a box of Mexico 86 stickers -

Funny you say that Darren someone was selling roughly about the same (299) not that long ago and was asking for £100 think it might

have sold if he listed it properly (went unsold) I bought some badges off him -( still waiting for an invoice from him) but if ive had the cash i probably would have bidded for the 299.

It is the same guy they didnt sell I offered £85 for them as there were no badges and he declined. He had 2 listings one for 299 stickers and another for 219 I am toying on going back to him and offering for noth lots

I just need to sell some of my stuff on ebay to fund it.

Nothing worse eh? I usually do my buying near the end of the month when i get paid but there's always something that comes up when it's spent pah. Hope you get a result with this one pal.

Alec,

Packets can be very lucrative. I am fortunate enough to have a quantity of Europa 80 packets and they can fetch £10+, so I would definitely recommend collecting them if possible. The only problem is finding enough at a 'reasonable' price as most punters on ebay now know the value of Panini items.

With regard to Italia 90 I roughly work on a guide of paying 20p - 25p per sticker so I would probably offer about £80, especially as there are no badges included. As a guide I bought 400 back in 2006 for £72 and I don't really believe Italia 90 stickers have significantly increased in value since then.
