Hi everybody!

The Community Chat will open at 2pm and will remain open until 3pm on Wednesday. After that it will be closed for further questions. Of course, we will continue to take care of answering any questions that may still be unanswered—We’ll get to everything as quickly as possible.

Please ask your questions in the thread below. In order to be able to answer your questions as quickly as possible, we ask you to have one question per post. Of course, you can make as many posts as you like in the Chat- the more the merrier!

Anything we aren’t sure on we’ll know the people who will be! Please ask us any questions you may have and we’ll do all we can to support. Please refrain from asking the same question repeatedly in our weekly live chats. Hello eBay Community,

I have been facing a serious technical issue with my account for over 15 days.
I have contacted eBay support more than 10 times , but the agents do not understand the real issue. Initially, they tell me there is no problem with my account, and then they say they will escalate it to the technical team.

I was asked to wait 24–48 hours each time, but even after more than 10 days, nothing has been resolved.

I have also tried:

Logging in from a new device

Clearing cookies, cache, and browsing history

Yet the issue still persists.

Because of this problem, I cannot:

Access personal information

Add a bank account

Withdraw my funds

Use my balance to make purchases

Has anyone else experienced this? If so, please share any solutions or advice, because I am completely stuck and need to finally get this resolved.

This is extremely frustrating, and my funds have been inaccessible for over 15 days.

If you haven't already, you can open a return up to 30 days after receiving the item. The seller will have 3 business days to reply. If they still don't come back to you after that, you can escalate to us and we step in.

I have tried adding three different banks — [barclays], [NatWest], and [PAYONEER] — but none of them work, and I always receive the same error message.

Thanks for your additional input, perfectionist11. I've taken notes and reported it for you. However, please note that this doesn't look like a technical issue, but like a security measure placed on the account. If this is the case, you'd need to contact us directly over the phone as we don't handle account security issues over this channel.

Once I get confirmation of what's happening exactly, I'll let you know.

The problem continues, and it seems that the agents do not fully understand the issue.

Can you please check if there are any restrictions or limitations currently applied to my account?
I need a clear confirmation, because this problem has been ongoing for over 15 days.

Hi guys, happy new year.

Has there been a change to the search bar on the android app? Previously it would include the predictive text box above the keyboard, this has now vanished so any searches you do have to be typed in full, also to add to this if you need to edit part of your search term the cursor jumps to the end of the search phrase at every edit making a change in the middle of it a frustrating process as the cursor defaults to the end

Hi Team, and a Happy New Year!

Back in November, dave@ebay confirmed that DSRs are not altered by eBay's Automated Feedback, and yet, over the Christmas period, my DSR for delivery time dropped from 5 to 4.9, despite there being no human-generated feedback in that period. The last feedback left by a human was on 11th December, and at that point, the DSR for delivery time was 5. When I looked again just after New Year, it had dropped to 4.9. In that period, 6 automated feedbacks had been generated and I have no late delivery defects on my account. Any ideas how this could have happened?

The apps do tend to have regular updates each time a newer version is released. Can you let me know when you noticed these specific changes to the search function and I'll report it from my end.

Thanks Dave, I did know that BUT returning this item is (a) expansive for me, because I would have to repack the printer, which weighs about 9kg, in a really sturdy box, which I would have to build or buy, and the printer id sccap so that would be a complete waste of time and my money. I the seller wants it surely he can arrange collection? I have sent him photos so he knows it is ruined.
