This forum connects to other members, not ebay itself (there are about 3 ebay staff who comment on some posts).

The link in message 2 should show the breakdown of sales amounts and fees.

My guess would be you selected a promotion of some kind, which can be costly [on the other hand can certainly help sell the item.] I had one recently, and on my page it says "Promoted Listings - General fee for order", for example.

we don’t understand why eBay is asking us to pay £130 when we have not sold anything on eBay we tried to sell but decided not to when we saw the price of postage and I don’t know what the other hundred pound is for can you please speak to us to make us understand the situation? It doesn’t help just sending messages. We are 75 years old and a bit out of date thank you

you did have a tent listed that looks like it did sell (possibly twice) in March and April.

if you visit this page below it will show you any charges that might apply to your account. Some charges might be if you chose to advertise the listing for example.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/mes/transactionlist?sh=true

That's a high fee to pay and it has to be a listing fee of some sort.

The most expensive to use is a Reserve. This costs 4% of your set reserve, payable sale or no sale, and charged the second the item goes live.

Add any of the following optional listing upgrades, and they all come with a non refundable listing fee.

Reserves: 4% of the set reserve ( maximum £150 per item)

Subtitles: £2

Listing in 2 categories: 35p

Gallery Plus: £2.50 ( free for clothes and shoes)

Listings with duration 1 - 3 days 35p

As a tip, before clicking on the final List Item With Displayed Fees button, glance just above it, it should read £0.00 Listing Fee.

If there is a fee amount listed there, you have selected an upgrade, and if you wish, it gives you time to scroll up and remove the payable upgrade.

Example, if you promoted listings at 10% and didn't officially cancel two £900 sales then you would have incurred fees of £180. I think that's what's happened.
