Incorrect price for multiple item sale

Hi, I’m a UK private seller and have an item that I have a quantity of 9 of. I set this up to allow a buyer to select the number they wanted. As the item was slow moving I promoted it and sent an offer to the watchers. I then received an offer from a prospective buyer who wants 8 of the item. When they went to pay the price has reverted to the original price as opposed to their offer which I accepted. Maybe I’ve set up the listing correctly. How do I sort this to allow the buyer to pay the correct amount?

Did you take into account the buyer protection fee ?.

Are you able to override by sending them an invoice with the agreed amount?

Or would they be willing to pay then you refund?

Or can you suspend the listing until you resolve this?

As a buyer I'd be concerned about having the 8 items in my Basket without the protection of being formally committed to buy (eBay states it at check-out where that applies), in case another buyer checks out with one or multiple items in the meantime. So, assuming you want a solution asap, I suggest considering the above suggestions so as to (Gordian Knot-like) cut through having to review/revise the £maths and amend the listing/offer etc.

Thanks for getting back to me.

I contacted EBay and they have said the issue is with Simple delivery at their end. They have said that they'd get back to me within 24 hours with the solution.
