Issues with Bulk Upload for Promoted Listings

Hi everyone,

I’m struggling with updating my advertising campaigns (specifically adjusting bids/ad rates) via the bulk upload tool and was wondering if anyone has found a workaround.

My main issue is that I cannot find a dedicated "upload template" specifically for advertising; the only options available to me are "Reports."

I’ve tried downloading the existing campaign reports, but even when I try to upload them back immediately without making any changes, eBay returns an error and the upload fails. It seems the system doesn't recognise its own report format for the upload process.

Does anyone have a reliable method or a specific template they use to successfully bulk update ad rates? Or is there a trick to formatting the standard reports so that the eBay system actually accepts them?

I'm having the same issue with promoted listings on eBay when uploading in bulk.

Whenever I create new listings and set a custom ad rate for promotion, I get a “promoted listings failed” message. As a result, none of my items are being promoted automatically.

Its not just on bulk, my relists and sell similar PL rates are failing, now at about 70% per quantity

I do not bulk upload so apologies if its not as easy as I make out but might it be easier to use the seller hub and filters and add PL accordingly after upload

I dont know your inventories but it might be a work around, all be it a time consuming one depending on quantities.

The filters can be useful, re, categories, prices etc etc if it helps. Might be a way to get action on your priority inventory
