Changed bank account details was told up to 48 hours now it's changed to a week

I changed my bank account details last Thursday. It said it would take up to 48 hours. Funds were still not available so I contact customer support. Was told to try a different browser and it should then allow me to access funds. It didn't work. I was then told they would escalate the case and now it's saying it can take up to a week. The 1p has not come out of the account to verify and customer service seem to have no clue. I don't understand how they can withhold the funds so I cannot get the cash in the bank but I can spend it on eBay. Surely if this is purely down to preventing fraud the money should be on hold for everything. Also how can it take so long to verify the bank. I was relying on this money so I am worried with how long it could take if they keep changing the goalposts on time frames. Has anyone else had this issue?

This is really strange I was coming on here to ask the exact same thing. Updated bank details on Wednesday 48 hours was up on Friday spoke to someone and said sometimes it takes longer and then said by 11th should all be sorted yet still can't withdrawl my funds! So frustrating it's really hard to speak to an actual person aswell

Please note that updating your bank details could take up to 48 hours, and then verifying your bank account with the micro deposits could take up to 5 business days, while it might look similar, they're different processes that take different time lengths. The reason why it can take up to 5 business days for the micro deposits to hit your bank account, is just because they work as a normal bank transfer, and while it might not necessarily take the full 5 business days, it could take a few business days for them to show up in your bank account.

Once you receive them, you need to enter the amounts you received in your bank account into your eBay account, and that will verify your account. If you don't receive the micro deposits after 5 business days, please feel free to contact our customer service team, and they will be happy to look into it for you no problem.

Hi have you had any luck mine is still on hold and now I'm told 7-8 working days the goalposts just keep being moved. I've had the 1p go in and out of my account and still nothing. It's so frustrating.

Hi yes this morning I was able to withdrawl finally so mine took 8 days. I kept getting told different things and made a couple of complaints along the way!

I’m in the same situation with eBay. I can see the 1p deposited into my account, but it hasn’t been withdrawn or debited. This is now the 5th working day, and there’s still no progress. It’s absolutely shocking service, especially with all the technology available today. All my funds are stuck in my eBay balance, with a note saying I can only use them on eBay. Truly disappointing service.

I AM ALSO FACING THE SAME PROBLEM WHICH DOESNT MAKES ANY SENSE. WHICH PLATFORM DOES THKE THIS MUCH TIME TO VERIFY? WE SOULD SERIOUSLY PUT A COMPLAIN ABOUT THESE PEOPLE.

Also having the same problem. Initially asked to perform micro-transactions on the payouts account but not provided any button to do so on either the app or the website. As a bi-product then added the same account again only to find I have to wait 48 hours until the same account has been verified. What then ? am I going to be asked to follow the micro-transactions ? will i even be given a way of doing this ?

Seems the full workflow has not been fully tested or all of the use cases established. wadleyscards mentioned a timeframe of 8 days ? When did the micro-transactions occur ?

My theory is that the micro-transctions will only occur when you add a new account. (e.g. if you have an old account then the process is not possible). When the system then triggers the micro-transactions against your bank then the notification box will appear to request for you to enter the transaction amounts.

What there needs to be is a button on your existing account to trigger the micro-transactions flow. In the meantime I will expect to now wait 48hrs, and in addition the micro-transaction flow (1-5 days). Ironically 7-8 days ?

If anyone from support can confirm if this is the case and how long the micro-transaction flow takes that would really help anyone having this experience. Thanks.

ebay takes time. dont ask why! todays transactions are done in minutes

Same story here, sold last week (25th March) told funds available on 29th March, nothing in my bank. Called ebay (their online chat is only helpful if you know the answer to the question anyway!) Customer service kept repeating 6 - 8 working days 1p deposited in your account then 1p taken out of your account. 1p has been deposited in my account but I am still not able to withdraw - unless I want to have a spending spree on ebay where the funds are available for me to spend on their site - nb. ebay if I'm selling on ebay its because I really need the money not because I fancy a spending spree! I think its absolutely disgraceful they can keep hold of your money yet seeming taunt you sending emails like you can spend your ebay funds today !!! Company as big as ebay and they wont let you take your own money out.... Awful
