Wrong Price Listed

I listed a BMW Garmin motorbike sat nav at £245.00. I received a notification on my phone to say it had sold. I sent the item to the buyer, but when the funds reached my account I only received £6.61. I contacted eBay as I am 100% sure I listed the item at £245.00. They said they couldn’t see any suspicious activity on my account and that the item was listed at £6.61, and there was basically nothing they could do. Something has clearly gone wrong here. It can’t be a typo as it just doesn’t correlate. I could understand if it was £24.50 or £2.45, which would look like I put the decimal point in the wrong place. This just doesn’t make any sense to me. Why would I put such a random figure down. This was a buy now listing and not a bidding one. I’ve tried to contact the buyer but they are not responding to my messages. Has anyone else experienced anything like this? I have sold items before on eBay and have never had any issues.

There isn't anything you can do at this point now that the item has been sent to the buyer. It's vital to check listings once they've been submitted. Whilst I agree that it is a really odd amount to list an item for by mistake, it was listed for that amount.

The satnav was listed for sale at £7.17 (including £0.56 buyer protection).

I'm afraid it was your responsibility to have checked the listing before sending it live.
