I sold an item in Feb but after 3 failed attempts to deliver to the buyers house the item was returned to me(I didn't know until it turned up on my doorstep). Mid april the buyer contacted me to say did not receive item and i informed they had tried several times to deliver(with proof) and to raise with ebay, the buyer has now contacted me again today nearly another month later with a stroppy message saying ebay have said i need to refund. Now I know i have the item and can just resell and block buyer but whats your thoughts on this?

If they don't have the item you should refund their money (via the dropdown menu for the item on your orders list).

You have 90 days to issue a refund via eBay, if you're still in time to do this I'd do it now.
