It does.

If you cancel an order then it cancels that transaction.

Probably won't make any difference as this is a collection in person, cash on collection type listing, though you may have difficulty contacting your buyer to arrange collection. If you do, you'll need to relist it.

i put a motorbike up for sale £1800. Ebay notified me it was sold. I presume for the asking price. The listing disappeared off the site. I was asked if I wanted to cancel the order. I pressed "yes" thinking this meant I was happy to proceed with the sale and the ad could be cancelled. I was wondering if "cancel the order " meant I did not wish to proceed with the sale

It is a 'cash on pick up' sale so the buyer would not pay through Ebay.

Have a look at your emails from Ebay - you should have one saying your motorbike sold and who the buyer is,

You need to contact the buyer to exchange details so you can arrange for them to come and collect the bike and pay for it.

You were probably being asked if you wanted to cancel the ad.

It's a good idea to leave the ad. live on the site until your vehicle has been collected and paid for - there seem to be a lot of 'buyers' who agree to buy but then never actually turn up and pay.
