Your account will not be affected so don't worry.

There are only 3 reasons for sellers to choose in a cancellation, one is "Out of stock" a second one is "Buyer request" and the third is the one your seller has chosen.

Cancellations never affect the buyer.

Hi,

I recently bought an item but the seller got in touch with me to say the item was sold back in December and did not know why it was listed and would refund straight away? OK no worries. The bit I'm concerned about is she contacted CS to sort out the refund but they listed the reason as 'issue with buyers address'. This is not true. I'm worrying that going forward there may be an issue buying because of the reason given?

The seller seems lovely and honest - I can't seem to contact anyone about this as the 'issue is closed'?

Should I be concerned? If so how do I contact CS?

Thanks for your help!

Thanks for that - I am a worry wort at times. I wish she had chosen 'out of stock' which feels closer to the real reason as I really feel uncomfortable with untruths. She implied it was CS who chose it but obviously it was her choice. Hey ho.

My money is being returned.

I will just move on...

Thanks for putting my mind at rest.

She should have used "Out of stock" but if she had she'd have got a defect on her account so she chose another reason to cover herself.

Using either problem with Buyer's address or Buyer Requests to Cancel doesn't give the seller a defect on their account. This seller was fully aware using Out of Stock for a reason does not give them this damaging defect.

They made an error having the item listed when it was already sold, but as said, it doesn't affect your account.

Thanks for this - it explains it. I am not really happy with the reason shifted to me 'problem with buyers address' also the implication it was CS who used that reason not her. I have spoken to two CS reps and both have said the reason chosen to describe refund is down to the seller not CS.

It might be ok with some people but I find it dishonest. They made a mistake - fine - we are all human but own up - its the shifting blame I find a problem.

Not a seller I would use again.
