I assume you have sold the item but the buyer hasn't paid yet?

If that is the case, and they don't want to pay, ask them if they would like to cancel.

if they say they do, then cancel using the reason 'buyer asked to cancel'.

Tax, postage and tariffs can add a lot to the basic price of an item for a USA buyer,

My buyer is challenging the cosy of the item he has paid on an item from me. He has paid £392.54 more than the cost of my item, and is questioning it.

he is refusing to pay additional delivery cost to the US from the UK

Please can EBay give me a breakdown of what my Buyer in America has paid for.

The Buyer is challenging his cost of
GBP 1,142.54 instead of GBP 750 plus £60 Delivery

Simon Morris

Sent from my iPhone

Your buyer will be able to see a breakdown their end. There'll be an import tariff (depending where the item was manufactured, if from UK it's 10%), import taxes and a courier admin fee.

What item is it, out of interest?

Your sold penny farthing doesn't have US shipping prices on it, if they bought it they must have a UK delivery address.

There's also no way that shipping that huge item to the US will cost just £60.

This is a member to member forum, not 'Ebay'.

Your buyer should have a breakdown of the costs in his purchases, or they can contact Ebay Customer Services via Ebay.com.

Are you posting to the USA?

If it is the penny farthing, it says the postage is £65 in the UK. Did you list it with Ebay Global Shipping Programme?
