Lying buyers

I recently, well days ago. Sold a dremel for dog claws. It is in full working order. Yet the buyer has lied and said

"It doesn't work on top speed"

"It cuts out"

I have a video of the dremel working.

I ok'ed the return. How do i contact ebay, please? So i can send them the video, in full working order.

You cannot contact eBay about this.

They will not be interested in any video aside from the fact it cannot be proved it is of the same item in question.

Has the buyer opened a case for item not as described / faulty? Then, you will have to accept it, as cases are all automated, no human contact. Accept it withing 3 days either fully refund through the case details or send a tracked label for its return. Here you do not refund until it's back with you, you'll have 48 hours to refund.

Stick withing those timelines, and your seller performance will not be affected.

If you then feel the refund was unjust, and i f eBay step in and refund, should the case be escalated, if you think the decision for the refund unfair, you can appeal, link below shows the process.

I'll admit it's not easy, eBay do not see the item in question and they do tend to side with a buyer's view, but worth a shot appealing.

I agree with tressygirl's that eBay is unlikely to be interested in your video.

eBay decids disputes without even seeing the item concerned and it's become clear that their default policy is to accept the buyer's word for faults. (You agreed in the user agreement to accept their decisions.)

If you try to contest their decision the danger is that a damaging account defect may be placed on your account.

You can if you wish report the buyer for alleged abuse of eBay's money back guarantee. It's unlikely to have any immediate effect, but if multiple other sellers report the same it's possible that action may be taken .
