How long have you had the tap?

You have 30 days to use the money back guarantee. After that ebay won't help.

I purchased a tap which boils & filters water ready to be fitted on completion of new kitchen Noticed leaking in & plumber called & leak fixed, l asked for information regarding filters & basically was rudely dealt with. It leaked again & have had pans under to collect water. Plumber on third visit couldn’t stop leaks which were coming from various areas of tap. I’ve contacted seller & awaiting his response but very wary after last experience & many emails. The tap is obviously faulty water has leaked into new kitchen sink unit It is guaranteed for so I’m hoping seller will replace faulty tap or maybe the complete unit might need replacing although the unit works fine. I took pictures of tap as needed to be removed & temporary tap attached which is not connected to the unit. It seemed when plumber fixed one leak another appeared so maybe faulty inside tap which plumber didn’t take apart to check as clearly fault is inside. I’m so disappointed & it’s been expensive calling out plumber unit & flooring water damaged. What should l do if seller has same attitude when l made enquiries shortly after fitting? Plumber is registered heating engineer with many years experience which l explained to seller . Any advice would be gratefully appreciated.

Hi
I bought it in September for new kitchen which was completed in Dec tap fitted & there was a problem but seller was not interested & tried to blame my plumber who has been out 3 times. Today after weeks of leaking & catching water with pans & new unit & flooring ruined. The tap was leaking he fixed one leak & another would start. Thinks the problem is inside of tap but didn’t want to disassemble to investigate as the fault is with the manufacturer? Seller so fitted another tap but l don’t have instant boiling water or the filtered which is main reason l purchased it at £279 not cheap to be basically try to blame my plumber who’s a registered heating engineer & plumber of 40 years+. It does state a 5-10 year guarantee . I’m waiting for a reply from seller but don’t hold much hope due to previous correspondence.
Kind regards,
Val

Sent from my iPhone

As you are way out of time to claim with eBay and your payment provider for any refunds, if this was purchased from a UK registered business who is now being difficult in honouring that 5 - 10 year guarantee, turn to Citizens Advice for the steps you need to take to proceed further with your claim for a refund.

Hi,
Many thanks this tap a 4-1 cost £273.00 it boils water & has water filter l bought in Sept 2025 ready for figment in my new kitchen. A qualified plumber did the work but noticed a leak & managed to stop it. In January leaking again from tap & now had 3 call outs damage to unit & flooring also. I contacted the seller in December to advise him of leaking & maybe filter was faulty. I was very disappointed by his lack of any help or advice & his reply was extremely rude & stated if he was to replace any of the said faulty parts he would be out of business. Hence, I’m now left with a temporary tap & 4-1 removed. I have emailed seller & waiting to hear what solution he intends to this matter but feel very apprehensive after my first communication regarding the first compliant in December. I paid £273 for the tap & unit & am left with a leaking unusable tap. Also three charges for trying to stop leaks by plumber, damage to unit & flooring & extremely disappointed & feeling let down by lack of seller’s communication & no customer care.
I will take this matter to the C.A for help.
Kind regards,
Val Lloyd

Sent from my iPhone
