Hi I've had two missed calls from what i think is ebay customer service today (0345 355 3229)

Both times no message was left nor have i had an email to ask me to contact them

Is this suspicious?

I've never had a call from Ebay customer service before.

Presumably you have not requested a call?

I have never heard of them calling out of the blue.

Thats what i thought.

I did wonder because the last two items i've sold through auction have been bought by buyers buyers in Zambia even though i do not do international shipping.

The buyers havent paid so are just sat as awaiting payment.

I'm wondering if its connected?

They won't be able to pay if you don't have a shipping price and method to Zambia set up on your listing.

After 4 days you can cancel and select the reason as 'buyer didn't pay’ (eBay works in 24hr cycles so the option won’t be available until 4 x 24hrs have passed). There’s a link on this eBay page:

The non-payer can't leave feedback and gets a non-payment strike against their account, which sticks to it for a year.

Don't be tempted to leave feedback for a non-payer - it can only be positive and will enable them to remove the strike they receive.

Set your Buyer Requirements to block bidders with two or more non-payment strikes in the last 12 months and add them to your Blocked Buyer List with this link:

While you're there also tick the box that says 'Block buyers whose primary delivery address is in a location I don't post to, then the box that says 'Apply above settings to active and future listings', then click on the tiny Submit link, bottom left of the page.

Once you've done that, if there's no postage price and method to their country, it blocks bidders.
