eBay has banned cash on collection and now blocks messages containing contact details prior to online payment.

If the buyer wants to check item they'd have to pay first and if there's a problem you can cancel the transaction and refund afterwards.

They wanted to say on pick up tried giving them my mobile but then I was blocked from messaging them but know he as made a bid and I have been able to accept it but I was not trying to do ebay out of it as I thought they would bill me what I owed them for selling

As previously explained a buyer cannot pay on pick up. After winning an auction they need to pay at eBay checkout. Only then can you exchange your mobile phone number and any other contact details.

The collection items you have for sale do not have any bids, do you mean they sent you an offer? You do not have a Best Offer option on those items so you cannot accept it, if it was just sent through on a message.
