Ebay sent me an email that this item needs to be returned as the government has found some faults. So you need to advise what I should do. If not I'll escalate this to ebay and give a bad review explaining the situation

I've just received an email stating an item I bought in January has been recalled by the government. I need to speak to someone regards returning it as it's a bulky item and will I get a replacement immediately. Is there a whatsapp number or even just a number I can call? I've tried contacting the seller and they seem to have disappeared. I've emailed ebay but no response.

Sorry but ebay only allow 30 days for claims, in any circumstances. If it's less than 120 days you could ask your payment provider about a refund.

We don't actually 'need" to do anything. We are volunteers giving up our time to help other members with ebay related issues.

Ebay passes on these warnings as a courtesy, they have no legal responsibility towards you, and their voluntary money back guarantee only lasts for 30 days.

You either need to deal with the seller direct or try your funding source for help.

Escalating anything to ebay will get you nowhere.

As @papso22 correctly advised, eBay's responsibility ends with sending you that message received from the manufacturer.

You can contact the manufacturer, some have been known to refund the customer, if not turn to your payment provider you are still in time to claim from them.

Many receive these late messages / warnings that an item bought has LATER be found to be faulty/ not to be used further. At time of purchase this issue may not have been known.,

If 60 days have passed, you are too late to leave any feedback.
