I sold some PC RAM, not something I usually sell.

The buyer has opened a return request to say they have not received the item in the listing. This is untrue, I have only ever sold two sticks of RAM and these are the two from the listing that I sent to the buyer. They have substituted one for an inferior product that looks very similar to claim a refund.

I have reported the buyer and also given them the option to retract their return in case they have made an honest mistake.

Is there anything else I should do? I've sold for over 15 years and strive for customer satisfaction, this has really upset me as it is a blatant scam.

If they continue with the case, you should accept the return and get the item back.

If they do return something you didn't sell them, you can report them to Action Fraud and then, with the case/reference number ask Ebay to look at the return.
