Automatic Discount Offer

I am being driven mad by the recent introduction to listings. I am now "penalised " for looking at a listing by getting an automated discount offer. This is driving me mad, & clogging up my screen with offers that I am expected to decline.....

What makes it worse, is that the majority of the time I am looking at the listing to try & find item details that should really have been made clear in the item description. Secondly, if there is need to discount for looking, is it not the case that the item is too expensive to start with ? It is also a bit of a deception - if I look at a listing, think the buy now price is fair, then purchase, I may be missing out by not walking away .....

I am now using eBay less & less due to this situation

It would have been nice if eBay had communicated the introduction of this
(annoying) feature & told one how to disable it, instead of users being
bombarded with unwanted messages to deal with....
