    <description>Thank you for your reply. What I was trying to purchase was simply 1/48 scale models of a Hawker Hurricane aircraft. Hardly a matter of national security. Neither of the two sellers appear able to ship items of this sort to the UK.</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I have tried to purchase world war 2 aircraft models from the United States, but the sellers state that such items are forbidden to be despatched to the UK on the grounds they are "war toys".&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I contacted UPS, who shipped such a model from another seller in the United States, who state that in their view, no such prohibition exists.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Without even seeing what you bare trying to buy it is difficult to comment, but my first thought is the category used by seller which could cause this silly problem.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Rules on what can be sold in the USA are rather different to the UK and replica firearms &amp;nbsp;for example would be banned, so as said above picking a category which is acceptable in the US could well prevent the sale of model aircraft.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
