So I sold a Crystal ornament in mint condition. On receipt, the buyer said it had a chip. I know it did not when I packed it. I paid for a return label and it arrived today. On inspection I can see the chip (although it is really tiny) it now has. Ebay then told me I had to issue a full refund and although very annoyed with this I complied. So now I have an unsellable crystal and I'm out of pocket. Is this normal procedure on ebay to totally ignore what the seller has to say and automatically believe the buyer? Is there anything I can do about recompense?

Ebay always believe buyers.

You have admitted item has a chip, you may not have noticed before posting it.

No point arguing with ebay, you will lose.

Refund buyer & move on.
