I sold a pair of jeans which then went to authentication but the authenticater couldn't authenticate them for some reason I don't know of.

The sale was cancelled and I refunded the buyer.

Now I can't relist them but they are 100% authentic as per the description.

The buyer agrees with me too.

It may be that the jeans were passed as authentic, but there was an error in the listing and the jeans did not exactly match the details in your title, details or description.

Have another look at the listing.

Is there anything (however minor) the authenticator could have had a problem with?

If you can find a little mistake (did you list any little flaws and faults for example?) then you could try making a new listing for the jeans,

Thanks for that, apparently they weren't passed as the authenticator was unable to confirm their authenticity.

I can't seem to find the original listing, it looks like it has been removed even though I can see it on my orders page. I aim to make my listings as honest and as accurate as I can, I did mention the stains and what was missing on the listing.

Very frustrating. Is there no way I could ask for another verifier to look at them?

I think once an item fails authentication, it can't be redone.

If you relist with any corrected info, then once sold it can be sent to be checked again.

But you have to make listing clear what is isn't correct.

This bit may apply to you:

Where an item is unable to be authenticated, you'll cooperate in removing it from marketplace circulation.

You can't get somebody else to look at them, no.

If that was the reason they failed, as advised, don't relist them.
