Is the only way to make a complaint against EBay through a letter?

I have had countless issues with eBay over the past few months and am likely going to stop selling with eBay as a result. Today they took money from me because a buyer's item hadn't arrived despite me providing proof of postage. They are now refunding in 24 hours but it was never there money to take and I have had multiple issues like this that they have gotten away with. After trying to make a complaint and it not working I contacted the computer agent who could not understand my question of how do I make a complaint so I asked to speak to an agent. The agent told me he could make a complaint on my behalf but I said I wanted to make it myself. He told me the only way to do so is to send a letter to EBay and gave me an address. I checked this way the only way and there was definitely no way to complain online and he confirmed. I wanted to check that this is the only way and I feel there should also be a way to subimit complaints by email etc.

Thanks

Proof of postage is no good for ebay claims.

You need proof of delivery to win case.

If you use simple delivery, ebay refund buyer for item not received, you keep money.

Ebay don't have a complaints department, letter is only way.

To address the only real point you have made about your issues with Ebay, ' they took money from me because a buyer's item hadn't arrived despite me providing proof of postage ...'

You would need to provide proof of delivery - that has always been the case, otherwise your buyer is entitled to a refund.

There is no email address which deals with complaints.

The agent gave the correct advice.

However, before you make your complaint, it's worth having a read through the User Agreement.

When you start to sell on the site, you agree to all of the terms and conditions contained therein.

if you are complaining about Ebay practices and policies which you have agreed to adhere to, you will be wasting your time.
