Next Day delivery on a listed item

Hi,

I'm really hopefully someone can help. I currently have an item listed for sale (£349.99) and a potential buyer needs it quick. They have asked for Next Day delivery and are happy to pay for it. I have listed the item as free delivery via Royal Mail Simple Delivery. How can I edit the listing or accept the buyers offer and change the delivery to next day? It feels like this should be simple but I can't find a resolution. The item is a mediaum parcel weighing up to 10KG. When I enter these paramenters in a dummy listing the delivery options vanish apart from Simple Delivery. Very frustrating.

You can buy your own postage. To get the buyer's address and mark dispatched you have to open the original Simple Delivery label (Get prepaid label > Get prepaid label and QR code). The option to change the tracking has been removed but you would be able to add the new number to a "not received" case if that were necessary.

You'll need to use special delivery by 1pm as this is the only service gauranteed for the next day and due to the value too.

Hi, thanks for your response but I don't have this option. Could this be because of the size and weight of the package? Regardless of the package size and weight I can't find a Special Delivery 1pm option.

eBay don't offer Special Delivery. It's something you have to buy yourself at your post office. Then proceed as I outlined in my previous post.

To add to peaseblossom's advice how to relist the item, because eBay SD does not offer this option, just add any extra cost of the postage to your item's price.

Hi, thanks for the replies. I'm new to selling on eBay but it is my understanding that eBay cannot track a parcel if postage isn't arranged through them. Therefore the buyer could claim that they haven't received the parcel and thus eBay will not pay me the funds. I have heard of scams in which buyers ask for changes to the postage details so that they can pretend that they haven't received the parcel. Is this correct or is there a work around?
