Why can sellers no longer give negative feedback???
It’s ridiculous , I have someone bid on my item but is not paying, looking at their feedback they do this a lot yet no seller can leave negative feedback so at first glance they had 100% positive . Also why are they still able to bid, they obviously are not made to buy the item they bid on! Otherwise they wouldn’t keep doing it, they obviously have no repucusions in acting this way!
How about eBay protecting sellers too?

If those other sellers had followed eBay procedures then the chances are the buyers would no longer be on eBay or able to buy

• If an item has not been paid for 48 hours after the listing ended then you can open an unpaid case here http://resolutioncentre.ebay.co.uk/ (you have up to 32 days to do this if you wish to allow the buyer longer to pay but 2 days is the earliest)

• After opening the case if payment has still not been received after 4 more full days then return to the case & close as unpaid to request a fee credit
•
• Once a case has been closed you can then relist or make a second chance offer to the underbidder
•
• Once an unpaid case has been opened the transaction cannot be cancelled, only closing the case after 4 days will do this
•
• You should not simply cancel a transaction as it may leave you with fees to pay & a selling defect
•
• When a case has been closed in your favour as the seller then the buyer receives a damaging unpaid strike against their account & NEITHER of you may leave feedback

• eBay removed the option to leave negative feedback for buyers over 10 years ago

• The reason they did this was that dubious sellers were using the threat of negative feedback to prevent buyers complaining about poor service/products etc

• Negative feedback would serve no purpose.....you cannot stop buyers bidding due to negative feedback.....you would need to trawl through the feedback of every bidder & cancel bids to stop them

• It would not help with bidders who snipe & bid in the last seconds

• Leaving negative feedback would almost certainly result in reciprocal feedback from the buyer.......which as a seller WOULD damage your account

• If buyers fail to pay then you use the unpaid case procedure which does much more damage to the buyers & can allow sellers to block those who have 2 or more unpaid strikes

Blame the other sellers for your problem.

How about sellers following the rules?

How about sellers using the unpaid dispute?

How about sellers not abusing feedback?

Why should eBay be interested as all those sellers have signified they found not getting paid a positive experience.

If you have a non payer you open a non payment dispute at the bottom of the page under Resolution Centre.

You can open one after 2 days and close after another 4 days.

You get your final value fees back the non payer gets a strike and neither of you can leave feedback.

If you dont do this then ebay do not know you did not get paid and you have to pay the fees.

You have 32 days to open a dispute

The strlke they get is far more damaging to their account than any feedback

Two or more and they will not be able to buy off many sellers who have their Buyer requirements set to block bidders with non payment strikes.

If you set yours to block non payers then it may stop some from bidding

The fees are payable to eBay unless you open a non-payer case at the correct time I'm afraid.

There most certainly are repercussions for non-payers if only all sellers open cases when not paid. Buyers who do not respond to a non-payer case are given a defect and most sellers set their preferences to bar anyone with 2 or more from bidding

I have opened a case , but my point is that this person has obviously done this before yet they are still able to bid ?
And I won’t get paid for this item so have to list again , which I shouldn’t have to do. They bid they should pay it’s that simple.

I actually blame the person not paying and not made to pay by eBay , as bidding is a contract to pay for something!

But if those seller who left false positives had done that then 90% of sellers would have their accounts set to block the bidders with 2 unpaid strikes & they would either be unable to bid or have left eBay

Clearly as they left feedback they didn't do this so the bidders got away with it & other innocent sellers have since been caught out as the bidders did not get the unpaid strikes.....

eBay gives sellers the tools to punish non payers & protect themselves & others.....but if the do not use them what can be done ??
