Bid retraction

I have an item currently for sale, with 2 days remaining. I have just received an email from eBay to advise me that the current highest bid has been cancelled or retracted.
No reason or explanation given, but the email states, 'You can view the retraction/cancellation and the reason provided by selecting the (bid history) link from the individual item page.' Er, no I can't.
Is there any way that I can actually find out please?

Click on the number of bids and scroll down the page. it should say why.

Thank you for responding. I had already looked in bid history page, no mention of the retracted bid at all.

Bidding was at £31 at lunchrime. I received a notification on my phone to say so. Do I assume it was therefore eBay that retracted the bid?

It might seem pretty, it's just eBay send these emails out and offer no explanation.

I can see you have had a bid retraction but only you will be able to see why.

You using the useless App? You may need to use another device to see all the details.

scroll down, the retracted bid is at the bottom, under the bid list

Brilliant, thank you. I've used the app, then used both browsers on my phone, the info you have screenshot doesn't appear anywhere.
I'll grab one of my kids' laptops and try from there.

Upon looking, the explanation section is blank. How he managed to retract his bid without given a reason is baffling. I'll be reporting him to eBay.

Hi again,
Just to update the post. I have reported the bidder to eBay. Apparently he claimed he'd entered an incorrect amount, but didn't enter his correct bid amount, so was in violation. Clearly a fishing exercise.
eBay are to sanction him, probably with just a warning email, but auction has 2 days to run so it's hardly world ending.
Have also added the bidder to my blocked list in case of any retalitary bidding.

Thank you for your help. The retracted bid wouldn't display in the app or in the browser on my phone, scrounged a laptop to have a look.
