      <title>eBay reps contradict one another</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;What do you do if eBay reps absolutely contradict one another?&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I bought an item which was grossly mis-sized.&amp;nbsp; As the seller offered a blanket refund policy, I was unconcerned until I received his official Returns Note.&amp;nbsp; It was made out to AMAZON RETURNS&amp;nbsp; with the name &amp;amp; address of the returner being someone &amp;amp; somewhere entirely unknown to me.&amp;nbsp; It was not even the seller.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;I asked an eBay rep to contact me.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;&lt;FONT color="#0000FF"&gt;I was told this was absolutely wrong &amp;amp; I should not return the item &amp;amp; that an eBay return should not be to Amazon Returns in someone else's name.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/STRONG&gt;&amp;nbsp; There were said to be a number of selling policies being breached, which eBay would look into.&amp;nbsp; I was advised to wait for a week, then contact eBay again if I had not received an appropriate returns note.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I did this to-day.&amp;nbsp; In a total about face, I was told this was fine &amp;amp; that I had to return the item with the original returns note, which was perfectly acceptable to eBay, waiting another week thereafter for my refund.&amp;nbsp; In vain, I pointed out that this returns note WAS NOT IN MY NAME - how was I ever going to prove it HAD been returned?&amp;nbsp; I was given no explanation for this complete reversal of instructions.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="2"&gt;&lt;U&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Anyone know who is right?&amp;nbsp; Any advice on what I should do?&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/U&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT color="#800000"&gt;IS THERE ANY WAY TO CONTACT EBAY FOR THEIR OPINION in writing?&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;No email addresses even!&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>Yes, I have opened a case - I first contacted eBay customer support because the supplied returns note was to Amazon Returns with the sender's name &amp;amp; address not mine &amp;amp; not the seller, either.</description>
