Saved searches in Ebay App since update.

So apparently Ebay has done another update to the app completely ruining it's functionality & causing no end of frustration - this is almost always the case & I expect it now, I forgot to turn off 'auto update' as I usually have to do on EBay as it seems this is endemic.
Usually you save a search term under the category you wish to search under. If a new item comes up, a blue dot appears next to the saved search. Since the date the App has decided to search the saved term & alert if there's something new under any category; result - blue dots next to almost everything all the time even when search terms are saved in quotation marks to try & get around the update. I follow 'Eastman', a leather clothing jacket maker, and I get an alert because someone's selling a Saxophone with Eastman in the title. The saved search function which is really the main reason I use the app now completely useless - hard to fathom the incompetence here unless the people who do the updates literally never use their own program whatsoever. Any idea how to get around this or do I just pack in using EBay again & hope enough complaints come in for it to get fixed next update? Thanks.

Many complaints about the App, Old & New, It's rubbish, Use a web browser instead.

What's most important to me & how I use Ebay is to be able to see new listings on the items I follow as quickly as possible especially on items that have a 'Buy It Now' up which is why the blue dots are great when they're working but they're always going wrong. Is there some way to get live updates for new listings within the browser because I've not been able to find a way yet, thanks.

I mostly avoid the App due to the problems.
On the Browser, There's a notification in the top right corner next to the basket icon, it often gives notifications from.
