Hi, a have items up for bidding or buy now! But for some reason my item sold well below asking price, but when I checked my listings they do say buy now, but buyer said it wasn’t showing, I have cancelled the item and refund the money that was sent, why has this happened?

a buy it now isn't a reserve,

Adding a buy it now to an auction style listing is an offer to the first bidder to buy at that price,

if they chose not to they place a bid and the buy it now is removed and the auction begins at the start price you chose,

that is how it works.

adding a buy it now is a waste of money, don't add a buy it now, just set your start price at the minimum you are willing to sell for.

cancelling a sale that was won fair and square means you will get a defect against your account

Not only a Defect, no refund of selling fee and the buyer would be quite justified in leaving negative feedback.

Not understanding bidding can prove expensive and damaging to your account.
