I bought a item it was too small I sent it back to China...EVEN THO IT WAS SENT FROM WITHIN UK. It had to be sent to china .so i sent it back got.proof off postage ..not tracked as it was £18 standard airmail as the item was £23 to buy it had to be sent back as it was 3 sizes too small .NOW it's lost..they not had the item back. I can't prove other wise (but as i sent it back it should be covered ) .so now ebay decide to close the case as there no tracking number .I appeal telling them I have proof it need sent .ebay don't give a **bleep** close it no refund no jacket. So I leave feedback saying this in short and a neg feedback . Now eBay has removed the feedback.
So I get stuffed all round thanks eBay. I'm so glad sphock is on the rise as .

You should have come here for advice.

In general you need not return goods to China unless they were listed as coming from there. You should have asked the seller for a U.K. return address. If they won’t give you one then contact CS.

By the sound of it the item was Significantly Not As Described ... in which case you should open a return case for SNAD. The seller would have had to pay the return postage ... if not... and eBay judge that your claim fell under the Money Back Guarantee ... they would have refunded you without return.

It’s really important to familiarise yourself with the Money Back Guarantee and how Returns work.

As for feedback... you need to be careful what you accuse people of. EBay will remove any feedback that breaks their policy... again ... have a read.

On the subject of China... their post can be almighty slow at times... you really need tracking as it can show you if there is a hold up and where (China post has very good tracking to point of delivery but don’t always inform the Royal Mail who can have it showing as In Transit permanently on their tracking!!!).

At the end of the day it’s not ebay’s fault it’s gone wrong. I am really sorry for you over what’s happened but it could have been avoided. It’s been a very unfortunate and costly mistake.

Pay pal also have Buyer Protection but that also requires Proof of Delivery for Returns as far as I’m aware.

The only thing I can think of depends on how you funded the Pay Pal payment. If you funded it by Credit card (or some debit cards) you could file a chargeback. Contact your CC company or Bank and tell them the item did not conform to description. If they pursue it with Pay Pal you will probably get your initial outlay back but not the return postage.

Pay pal also offer 3 Free Returns up to £15 if you opt in ... not sure but they MIGHT reimburse you retrospectively ... they need proof of posting. You could try... whether that would include Chargebacks I’ve no idea. If you can’t do a chargeback it might be worth pursuing... anything to get SOME of your money back!!!!

Sorry if given up as I have tried with eBay and the seller also the post office as I called them ..all them said ask the seller to contact us /me .wasting my time . I paid them using my CC and I don't have the strength to go thro it all again to be told as above....

The jacket was listed as a motorcycle jacket. Which it was NOT when I got the jacket it didn't have any armour pads. Or anywhere to put them so its a plain denim jacket so I could have done it that way BUT NO bearing honest I paid too ruddy much to ship it back to China for it to be lost ... I have had quite a few items from China and no problems and was happy to buy off them with the knowing eBay would help now I won't. As I know you can't deal with eBay as they just do as they feel and if you get screwed over !!! tough !!! SO I won't be screwed twice ........shpock it is ...
