Maybe they should - It would mean more time to do everything else. Brilliant!!

I am fed-up with sellers not leaving feedback. I know leaving feedback is entirely voluntary. However, when a buyer is trying to get feedback it is usual for the buyer to leave feedback first (although on some occasions the seller is first to leave feedback which is good). It is common practice to reciprocate feedback in a fair manner, but some sellers do not follow up. I have rightly or wrongly sent a friendly reminder for sellers to leave feedback when a few weeks has passed. Unfortunately some sellers don't even reply or leave feedback. This then means feedback is one-sided and in such cases is not working for everyone. I am seriously considering not leaving feedback at all at anytime as what is the point when there is no reciprocation? Perhaps Ebay need to come up with a new idea otherwise trust is out the window.

You're aware it is voluntary and yet you want ebay to come up with some way of forcing sellers to leave it?

You've received 17 and left 13

You decide if and when you want to leave feedback and allow other members (whether they be buyers or sellers) to do the same.

my answer is =

You have no grounds for complaint because - you have received 17 feedback and only left 13 feedback.

As you will note this is a new account but I have been on Ebay for years and it has always been the same result - one-sided feedback. Apart from anything I did not suggest "enforcement" - there are plenty of other ways to bring trust about.

Maybe by replying to my own comments, it will be seen more readily - of course Sellers will be bias and be quick to put down any suggestion of one-sided feedback - since it is better for them.

Some people don't seem to realise that if the seller has left say, 18 feedbacks and the buyer has only left say, 10 feedbacks - the most obvious reason for this (and it will always be the case) is that the buyer has not yet received the item. There is little point in having the "cart before the horse" - leaving feedback before receipt of the goods. It is however generally the case that some (not all) sellers simply do not leave feedback, so what is the point in the buyer leaving feedback to anyone not willing to reciprocate? Yes, I know it is all vonuntary - but where is fairness in this system? I never at anytime proposed to "Force" feedback - I did say that Ebay should come up with a more fair system where nobody is left out. I would however be the first to support no feedback at all, but then it does away with the whole purpose of feedback - to promote fair, honest and friendly trading and trust among all users of Ebay.
