anybody had golly badges / golly dolls or any other related items removed from there listings !!

i had 3 removed as i received a warning that these are not allowed to to a violation policy.

i personally think e bay are total idiots by taking this action.

what next - are they going to ban "red indian listings" / or other such like which could be concidered raciest.

Ebay decided any such listings would be removed nearly 3 years ago!!

ebay have decided that they don't want 'Golly' themed items sold on their site,

their site their rules.

you will have to find somewhere else to sell them.

You are unlucky there are 100s listed, and I believe there is still a category for Golly Badges. Many are listed as Robinsons or other names avoiding the use of Golly

I never used the word golly or gollywog in any of my listings as below

strange thing is - i received a warning notice 2 days after they sold !.. aparently - if you cover the face with a smiley sticker or such like - you can get away with it.

PAKI STANI BADGES ARE ALLOWED ON E BAY WHICH IN MY OPINION SHOULD ALSO BE BANNED AS THIS COULD BE CLASED AS RACIEST- (JUST MY OPINION)

Golly items were banned a couple of years ago

The problem is that the term Golly, Gollywog or wog were taken on by racist groups in the UK

The Sun newspaper picked up on the sale of Golly items after complaints

eBay then had little choice but to ban the sale of Golly items

Mis spelling of Golly is deemed trying to avoid blocks & will be considered a worse violation than the proper name

Do not try relisting under ANY name or you will be banned

There is a category but you cannot list in it

Anyone listed as Robertsons etc risks a ban if reported.....I know of at least 3 people who have received permanent restrictions for listing these items
