fees seem too high

hi , i have been selling on ebay for some time mostly my cd collection , over the last 60 days i have sold £483 of items , but my last 2 fees i have paid have been the highest ever december was £173 and today i was charged another £175. how do i get ebay to look at my fees and see why i have been charged so much - thank you - kevin

Only the insertion of the basic listing is free

when the item sells you are charged a 10% final value fee on the item price and the P&P paid

Also, if you add extras to your basic listings, such as buy it now, a reserve, a subtitle, or gallery plus you will incur fees which are payable even if the item doesn't sell. These fees are shown on the listing form, before you click 'list with displayed fees'

If you tick the auto relist box the relists will incur a fee if you have used all your 20 free listing allowance, as auto relists are not included in the extra free listing offers.

my ebay >>> account tab >>> seller account >>> invoices

to see a break down of the ebay fees you have been charged.

i know how it all works , this is not what i am trying to solve , i have had plenty of bills sent for fee , in the last 60 days i have sold £483 - and been billed in december 173 and just now 175 ,, i only list buy it now and i do not add any extras at all , i always check that my listings are free

if you use the auto relist option the relists are charged for once you have used all your 20 free listings,

are you including the P&P in your calculations? as ebay charge 10% of the P&P as well

have you looked at the invoices to see what you are being charged for?

if you have done these things and still think your invoice is incorrect, contact CS by clicking on the 'help & contact' at the top of the page and drilling down through the options

The incorrect fees showing last month were fees which had not yet been invoiced. It sounds like the payment has been taken for this.

hi , just to close this thread - ebay customer services have refunded me the 2 payments that were wrong £150.00 x2
£300 . this is the first time i have been in touch with customer services and i was very impressed with the help i got , the over charged fees were for an item i had on auction in december and january that was never sold , , i would like to thank the people that replied to this post , cheers

Do you mean they charged you fees on items that ended without bids, or they charged you on items that were won but not paid for? If the latter, did you go through a cancellation process or an unpaid item dispute?

It's almost unheard of for ebay to get fees wrong and this doesn't seem to be the glitch that Sarah was referring to, so more information would help us respond to others with fee issues.
