      <description>&lt;P&gt;I want to cancel an order as I'm concerned about chargeback because:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;1. The bidder/buyer didn't pay on receipt of the bill, and when I prompted him after 4 days, he said he had seen the postage was free and would only pay if it was....to China! The postage charges were clearly indicated on the ad.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;2. The buyer has now paid, but the address is unverified.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;3. The buyer has sent me a message aplogising for not paying and saying he was busy, which isn't true; he didn't pay straight away as he didn't want to pay postage.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have a bad feeling about this and would prefer to sell to a lower bidder in the UK, so I've tried to cancel the order, but Ebay say I cannot do that as I opened an unpaid items case and that's resolved. And I can't even contact Ebay about this! What if I'd dropped and smashed the item so had to cancel the order?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Wishing I'd just cancelled the order when he didn't pay and didn't want to pay postage! I need to find a way to cancel it now though as I am not sending the goods.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I'm not getting into an argument over the rights and wrongs of this situation. if anyone has any positive advice, I'd much appreciate it.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Sorry but once an Unpaid Item case has been opened you cannot also issue a cancellation.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; You can just refund from your Paypal account, however that will put a "defect" on your eBay account, and the buyer may leave negative feedback.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;You could try asking ebay direct and see if they can cancel for you.&amp;nbsp; Not sure if that's even possible but it's worth a shot.&amp;nbsp; You can use one of the phone options or live chat at the bottom of this:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;A href="https://ocsnext.ebay.co.uk/ocs/cusr?query=166&amp;amp;levelHierarchy=3a6a3" target="_blank"&gt;https://ocsnext.ebay.co.uk/ocs/cusr?query=166&amp;amp;levelHierarchy=3a6a3&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;If you end up just refunding and you get a defect/neg you could see if ebay will remove it by contacting them as above.&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>That's crazy! What if the item was damaged and unfit to send? But anyway, thanks for the advice. I will try to contact Ebay via that link. If they won't help, I'll just issue a refund via Paypal and suffer the consequences. I'm not so worried about being banned from selling. I put up 4 items for sale last week (to raise money for charity), and 3 have been problematic. One bidder said he was sorting his paypal out and would pay by midweek, which I thought sounded dubious. He then asked if I'd sell him a second auction item at a set price. I said yes, then I heard nothing, and there's been no payment. I'm using other selling sites from now on anyway!</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I tried the live chat, and the person I spoke with was very helpful. She suggested refunding via paypal and said if I sent her the transaction ID, she'd remove the Ebay fees. So, it's all done now. And a lesson learnt on buyer restrictions! Thank you so much for your help peaseblossom. x&lt;/P&gt;</description>
