App for eBay on kindle fire expires 1st jan 2018

I have tried to update app but there does not appear to be an updated app for kindle fire

Also eBay app that is on kindle at present dates back to 2014 and it is getting very difficult to open anything on eBay is get rings then quick flash of item before going back to menu

I now have to use other devices to order up items on eBay

Will be looking to sell my kindle fire due to this issue

I suspect this is a Amazon issue not eBay

The problem is that Amazon uses a bespoke & customised version of Android which requires a custom version of the eBay app

Just over a year ago eBay dropped the Windows app for similar reasons.....the costs of app maintainance outweighed the benefite of app sales/purchases

Also as older Android devices no longer get updates they will cease to get the app as eBay cannot make apps for every version of Android (or iOS) for that matter

You cvan still access eBay through web browsers on all these devices
