Good Morning,

As you admit yourself you didn't fully describe the items, you would lose a case if she opened one.

Best to ask for them to be returned fully tracked, for a full refund.

Selling second hand clothes can be a minefield open to disputes if you do not fully describe every single fault in minute detail and use all 12 free photos allowed if possible. Worn to one person may mean worn once or twice, even for a 3 year old, but to another may mean nearly worn out!

Hi

just after some advice as to where I stand with a buyer wanting to return an item.

i listed two jackets if my sons. Age 3, worn. I didn't go into detail on the condition of the items on the listings, simply listed as worn. Usually I would say in good condition but resisted in order to cover myself. I up loaded pics of one jacket showing bobbles on the front, as I didn't want to be missleading.

The buyer contacted me on a Number of occasions about postage etc as she bought the two items, and never once asked about the condition.

When your buying a jacket for £3.00, worn by a 3 year old, how good do you expect the condition to be?

The buyer has since received the items and now wants to return as she considers them 'very worn' and is complaining about the bobbles on the front.

I feel reluctant to accept a return as I didn't hide anything. I didn't claim for the items for be anything but worn, and pictures showed this.

Can anyone advise where I stand if I refuse to refund. Or if I ask her to return, can I insist she pays the postage as she is the one wanting to return.

Any ideads??
