Why do sellers refuse a best offer? I made 2 offers, 1 was £2 below the price, the second 89p below. In the end I bought for the full price, but what was their point in offering Best Offer?

Probably because they wanted MORE than the start price. Making cheeky offers is not the best way to get a seller to accept. In any case, no seller is obliged to accept an offer whatever the offer.

If you had offered the start price, it woud probably have bee accepted sale would probably have ended with out having to wait for auction to end.

Hello. Thanks for your answer. The item wasn't in an auction, it was Buy it Now or Best Offer. I just found it odd that they didn't want to negotiate a Best Offer.

Get Outlook for Android
