Entered incorrect tracking no. on return

Hi I am awaiting a refund for an item which has been a long drawn out process by both the seller and EBay. Item wrongly described and dangerously damaged. I returned the item with a Hermes label sent to me via messages from the seller that had his name on both addresses on the label but a week and home address. I posted and got a receipt but have just accidentally entered a wrong digit when uploading the Tracking on my Return case in EBay. There is no option to change it or add another one. Please can you advise as it won't match the parcel and it will not be marked as received. I really need it changing ASAP as I've already waited a long time for my refund and it says I won't receive a refund until the Trackung proves it was received.

You have to ask ebay to change it for you. Go to My eBay and click on "Help & Contact", top left. Scroll down to "Contact Us" and click on that. Select a topic, the nearest or any topic. On the next page, on the lefthand side you should get a link for "Chat with us". You may have to select different topics until you get the chat link but they will still help you.

Thank you. I think the contact option to phone wasn’t there earlier when I tried and the automated assistant said “hmmm looks like I can’t help with this one” ! I’ll try again tomorrow when the phone lines are open..:maybe so was just too late trying earlier. Thanks so much. L

Sorted thanks! I struggle to find the contact agent tab but now know you can type it in the Help search bar 🙂
