Ebay stopped working on android mobile - must be updated. Have reinstalled, but same issue.

Hi On my android mobile, I try to open Ebay, which has worked fine till two days ago. But I get the message "We're sorry, this version of the app is no longer supported. Please take a moment to update the latest version." I have, several times, deleted Ebay and reinstalled it from Google Play, but I get the same message. (I have also tried to delete the storage and cache from Google Play.) How can I continue to use Ebay on my android mobile, please? Many thanks

Thank you for your reply. I have Android 5.0. I guess this is quite old.
My 'phone is a Samsung Note 3, again quite old. I wonder if it is possible
to upgrade my Android. Is the age of the Android version a problem - I
would have expected, perhaps, for Ebay to be able to work on older devices,
but maybe not. Do you have any comments, I wonder?

Hi Rob,Android 5 was the last official version for Note 3 I believe,normally apps will work with current Android version and previous 2 so this is probably the issue.It is possible to unofficially upgrae to a higher version but this is not for the fainthearted and could ruin your phone
