Hello All

I would like to buy something from India on Ebay that costs about £100 (this includes VAT). The seller has informed me I will have to pay Customs Duty. My questions are these:

How much would I have to pay?

When and how would I pay it?

Are there likely to be any other charges (delivery from the seller is free)?

Thank you. Assuming £100 is about 10,000 rupees, I would end up paying about £116 altogether, if I have understood correctly. I hope to pay no more than £100 including customs duty, so intend to put in an offer to reflect this. Do you know when and how you pay the duty, please? Have you heard about the post office having a 'handling charge'? Kind regards,

You will not have to pay anything to the delivery company to receive goods worth less than £135. https://www.gov.uk/goods-sent-from-abroad/tax-and-duty
