Just Reply that as a Private Seller you do not have to Accept Returns for Items which don't Fit. Don't Escalate the Case for EBay to Step in that can trigger the BOTS into accepting the Buyers Claim.

Good morning,

I am after some advice. I 've had a return request (I don't usually offer returns) on the grounds that the buyer says the item wasn't described properly.

Basically the item doesn't fit the buyer

The item was listed as a girls/ladies and clearly indicated that it was a size 6, so I don't see that it wasn't labelled acurately.

The seller has sent lots of messages demanding the refund and in the latest has suggested that she could use the item purchased as a floor map (it was a beutiful item) and also suggesting that she may except at least half the amount paid back.

Does anyone know what will happen if I wait, which I am tempted to do to ask ebay to step in after the three working days?

I understand the sellers frustration if the item doesn't fit, but it was I feel described collectly.

Thanks Ruby, I really appreciate any help. She's requesting the refund on the grounds it wasn't labelled correctly . It doesn't give me the option to decline the refund

If buyer opens case for not as described, you have to accept it, issue returns label & refund in full on return. If you refuse or ignore case, ebay refund buyer with your money & they keep item. If it was low value item, may be cheaper to refund without return, your choice.

Hi

Thanks for that, It seems very unfair as I clearly put the size on the listing, so basically anyone can say any item isn't as described in order to get a refund?

As ebay never see the item, they always believe buyer.
