How to remove negative feedback from Seller from Hell

Hi All,

I bought an item a few weeks ago, paying immediately.

Despite paying well over the odds for P&P, the item arrived late, poorly packed and not as described.

When I politely complained and asked for a return, the seller refused to confirm that that she would not accept the parcel if it was returned and basically was extremely unreasonable and very agressive (she even said out of the blue that I was being racist toward her when we are both white!)

Her behaviour was so extreme that I felt I had little choice but to leave negative feedback and report her to ebay - which is the first time I have done either of these things in over a decade in ebay.

Anyway, I then find she has left negative feedback for me. Yes, she clicked on positive, then proceeded to go on a rant accusing me of all sorts of things.

My question is: How can I get this unfair feedback removed? I found the option to do it for sellers, but not for buyers.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

eBay does not allow sellers to give negative feedback to buyers.

What you have received is “False Positive” feedback. That is a serious breach of eBay policy, and the seller will probably be sanctioned if you report the feedback to eBay CS.

Use the Help and Contact link at the top of the eBay Home page.

The green dot may remain, adding to your positive score, but the comment should be deleted by eBay.

Many thanks for your quick and positive reply. I have explored the Help and Contact Link but there are no options which fit what I am trying to do, nor any options just to raise this specific issue with CS. Any further help would be greatly appreciated if you have the time.

You could have avoided the whole issue by completing a Not as Described case under the ebay money back guarantee. Your seller would have had to pay to have the item returned and it wouldn't have mattered one jot whether he accepted it at his end or not, you still would have got your refund.

Call CS and ask them to remove the false positive feedback.

All feedback and replies can be removed as feedback policy is breached on every one.

No problem, I don't mind answering this. Her name and address were on the parcel. I kfigured she was playing the 'white priviledge' race card because she had no other card to play, and that proved to be correct, as when I found her found on social media was white with a european name. Of course she might 'identify' as other than white, but that is a whole other kettle of fish.

I am aware of the ebay money gaurantee. However this seller had proved to be so deceitful that I did not want to be dragged in the mire of opening a case against, if, for example, she said the goods were returned damaged or some such. Hence I just wanted out of dealing with her. She had already lied several times so I was pretty sure she was capable of doing so again.

From other comments it looks like I will have to call CS. I've never had a negative feedback before so I see no reason to let this one stand (when it so unjustified).

eBay CS seem to be increasingly difficult to talk to when you can’t find what you want in the Help Pages. Try this link and choose the nearest link to your issue. That should get you through to someone. Best time to call is early morning. At weekends lines open at 9 a.m. Weekdays at 8 a.m. Alternatively try the automated Help on the right. Many thanks thedemon2014. CS called me back (I asked for a call via the chatbot that you linked to in the other post) and the confirmed what you said, and they added that they would look into suspending the seller has she has been abusive to at least three other users in the last twelve months. Thanks again for your help.
