I have had an ebay account for many years on my usual email address. Last year, I mistakenly signed in on a "private mail" address. Now ebay has decided that this is the only one I can use.

This is not a major problem except that it has negated more than ten years of positive reviews and restarted my review profile as last year.

There is nowhere on the ebay contact site covering this.

Any ideas?

On your my ebay page or the seller hub then under Short Cuts>> Site preferences then Personal in formation Addresses and you can change your email address there.

Check all the addresses to make sure they are all correct with the correct email addres

Think there are about 5 options to check

You have to use a different email address for each ebay account.

That means I have lost more than ten years of positive reviews. I can't open my original account as it won't recognise the original account password. Just ridiculous - I'll finish the transactions on here and go to Amazon in future.

Are you sure that you haven't duplicated the account by accident ?... check here >

Using a PC/Laptop > Log out, restart and login through the eBay Home Page using your usual Username or email address and (forgotten) password to see if you can Manage to retrieve and resolve the 'new' account issue ? ...

Do Not use Apple, Google or Facebook login options which are reported as opening new 'cloned' accounts with corrupted, missing and inaccurate details.
