I was selling my vehicle on eBay received an offer and accepted it. I thought then it was a scam has no feedback on the account. But the person message asking to contact so I sent phone number. Anyway the seller shows. 3 Asia men. Still not thinking one asked about the tow bar then spare wheel. Of course unknown to me one opened the bonnet and was looking.

Anyway test drove and on return the bonnet was steaming. Over heating I thought. But why!

On opening the bonnet oil was everywhere even in the water coolment. They told me it’s not worth anything now. I was heart broken. The guy goes on o say he wanted the bumper complete front etc has his same vehicle got damaged. But I felt so intimidated thought my car was just worth scrap money. He offered me 400 pound. Car was up for sale £2400. To end it I took 400. Yes I know what a dumb **bleep** I was. I have informed the police once I checked my cctv on doorbell. Gutted. Just be aware.

Thanks for sharing this awful experience. Let's hope that your cctv will lelp the police to catch them.

As you know, there's nothing you can do through eBay but perhaps your posting here will prevent someone else falling for the same scam.
