Why am I getting a message advising me that I have another unrelated account?

There's a problematic account out there somewhere that has selling restrictions on it, perhaps due to unpaid fees or something a bit more heavy duty resulting in a permanent ban, and it's been linked to yours.

Has anybody in your household had an ebay account? Have you logged into your account round a friend or relatives house who has an eBay account, or have they logged into your account at yours?

I make use of a few registered Apple devices at home, (two iPads, two iPhones and a Mac Desktop) but there has never been any association with any other account. They also assure me that my account hasn’t been Hacked and yet consider it’s my responsibility to remove this other “unknown” account?! I continue to challenge this questionable “Restriction” and attempt to get a logical explanation of what ebay considers to have broken their terms. They won’t respond to letters, phone calls and “Live Chats” after my reassurances that I am totally innocent and unaware of any changes to my account, especially as it hasn’t been used for well over a year! I tried using GarageSale for a listing, only to see that there was an incorrect warning about a business account. I have always been a private individual who very rarely makes use of EBay. They should be made accountable to users and Regulated by some Authority!
