Ive committed to by an item only to notice the delivery cost is over £2000. The seller is away and i am uable to make contact

Where do i stand as obviously dont want to pay the shipping cost

I have not yet paid the seller item

Any help please

You really need to check all items carefully before commiting to buy

That is an exhobitant amount of postage which makes you think that they do not want to sell

Request that they cancel the transaction.

If they dont and you dont pay then ebay will send messages reminding you and if you still dont pay then the seller can cancel

You would get a non payment strike on your account

One will not harm too much but two or more and you would not be able to buy off many sellers

That is a heck of a lot of money. Is it a very large item or is it coming from overseas?

You say the seller is away so have they got an 'Away' notice on their listings?

Sometimes sellers place deliberately high prices on their items to discourage buyers while they are away.

Nothing you can do now except wait until the buyer returns and ask to cancel.

Ebay wont do anything as it is between yourself and the seller. Just request the cancellation and see what happens. At worst you will get a non payment strike.
